I hope that you have answered the questions raised in part 2
of this blog. If you would like to share the same with me, you can write in to drsunilpevekar@gmail.com
We have understood that we need to value our time. To
achieve this, we need to have a
Strong belief system about the purpose of your existence. At most we should have two or three reasons. Best would to have not more than two. If we have more than three, it means we are confused and is as good as having none. Many a times, this confusion comes, because we have a lacking value system, a lack of priorities.
Strong belief about how we should be using our time.
Keen desire to live every moment and learn at every moment.
Near utter disregard for how (most) people perceive us. If we fear ridicule or even injury from others, then you will always be guided by the thought of how to avoid it, rather than how to achieve it.
Constant willingness to learning. We must be always in the student mode.
WIG (Wildly Important Goal) that we are striving to accomplish. Our mission is what gives us the courage to dedicate ourselves to it.

Some MUSTs for us to begin to
properly value and use our time are – a true, challenging goal, that is
extremely valuable to us and something that we believe to be very important.
Without a guiding purpose, we
are most likely to be aimless with our time. Many of us face this irony – We
are very active, but don’t quite know
what we want to do with our lives.
Very few people can optimize
their time because very few people are clear on
·
What they believe
·
What they should do because of that belief
·
How to most effectively accomplish that belief
If you have written the
answers to the questions, in part 2, this will be easy.
Our next big Action Step us
to
· Get really, really good at learning and filtering through information
· Give ourself a very short time–line, to achieve things
· Use our most productive, every single day, for moving toward our goals
· Remove / Stop everything that hinders us from achieving our goals. It
may even be taking some time off from work.
· Focus on one thing at a time. Complete it. Move to the next.
Putting It Together
How can you achieve our 10
year plan in the next 6 months ?
· Must have something that drives us
· Must operate with a “deathbed mentality” and not undervalue our time
· Must be willing to experiment and fail continually
· Can’t be a coward, which means We go against our intuition because we
fear what
others think
others think
· We need to be an intense and wise learner, which means we get the best
information from the best resources and apply immediately what we learn
We just need to start finding
time to dash toward our dreams. If we have less time, we actually need to be
more bold, learn faster, reach out to the right people quicker. Put it into
action. Seek feedback. Without feedback, we won’t know what to do. Once we get
feedback, the next move becomes glaringly obvious.
Let the feedback be harsher, more honest, more direct. Make sure to use that feedback. Relook.
Adjust. Get more information.
If we can do this, it is an
absolutely amazing feeling to be living our life as if we only had 6 months
left to live. We can start living this way now. Once we do, we’ll stop putting
up with petty stuff. We’ll start treating people differently. We’ll actually
look them in the eyes. We’ll actually listen. We’ll express love and interest. We’ll
lift those around us. We’ll stop dealing with stuff that no longer makes sense.
We’ll act with far more purpose, persistence, and boldness. We’ll put first
things first. We will act on instinct and intuition, not impulse and
addiction.
